About The Chamber
Mission Statement
"Creating powerful partnerships to unite and grow member businesses and the region."
General Overview
The Chamber pursues an aggressive economic development agenda that focuses on recruitment and retention of businesses and markets in the Twin Cities, which attracts and retains talented, qualified workers. We actively partner with other organizations and use grassroots communications to advance our public policy agenda. And we provide uncommon value to our members by providing the tools necessary to help ensure your business success.
Structure
The Chamber consists of four distinct, but connected entities. The umbrella organization is the Regional Chamber. Its focus is to maintain the health and competitiveness of the business community throughout the entire Metropolitan Area. Its work is divided into three components: Economic Development/Workforce Development, Public Policy, and Member Services.
Contained within the regional body are three affiliates: the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, the City of Lakes Chamber of Commerce, and the Northeast Chamber of Commerce. Each Chamber has its own board and initiatives to serve their respected communities, and each divides its work into the same three segments as the Regional Chamber. Members belonging to any one of these Chambers automatically enjoy belonging to all Chambers for no additional fee.
