History

The Chamber consists of three distinct, but connected entities. The umbrella organization is the Regional Chamber. Its focus is to maintain the health and competitiveness of the business community throughout the entire Metropolitan Area. Its work is divided into three components: Economic Development/Workforce Development, Public Policy, and Member Services.

Contained within the regional body are two affiliates: the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Chamber of Commerce. Each Chamber has its own board and initiatives to serve their respected communities, and each divides its work into the same three segments as the Regional Chamber. Members belonging to any one of these Chambers automatically enjoy belonging to all Chambers for no additional fee.
