The Northeast Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce would like to take this opportunity to invite your marching band to participate in the 2008 Celebrate Northeast Parade.  The parade will be held on Tuesday, June 24 at 6:30 p.m.  The parade is celebrating its 79th anniversary in 2008 and is the second longest running parade in the state of Minnesota.

We are offering a total of $4,000 in prizes and feel that this is worth the effort of your participation.  All bands participating will receive a monetary prize as well as a participation trophy.  Plaques will also be awarded for “Best of Parade” in Woodwinds, Percussion, Brass and Drum Major/Majorette. 

Our three competition judges are all music instructors and members of the 34th Infantry Division Band.  Criteria sheets will be distributed after scoring is completed.  An awards ceremony will be held at the end of the parade route at Edison Ice Arena.
