The Celebrate Northeast Parade Planning Committee is expanding its food and novelty concessions operations at the 2008 Celebrate Northeast Parade. We are planning to offer parade attendees a variety of food and novelty items at designated locations along the parade route.
We are inviting you to participate in the 79th Annual Celebrate Northeast Parade on Tuesday, June 24, 2008. The parade will travel from 28th and Central Avenue NE south to 14th and Central. The parade step off is at 6:30 p.m. and ends around 9:30 p.m. Set up time for concessions will be 5:00 p.m.
The Celebrate Northeast Parade is one of the largest and longest running parades in Minneapolis and is the second oldest in the state of Minnesota. Each year 4,000-7,000 people line Central Avenue to watch the parade and many more watch it on cable television throughout the year. In 2002, City Pages named our parade “The Best Of,” an honor we are very proud of. It is a longstanding tradition – one that we are working hard to continue.
The fee to participate as a food and/or novelty concessionaire is $150.00. Each vendor must also have a Short Term Food Permit or a Seasonal Permit from the City of Minneapolis and proof of insurance. Enclosed is a copy of the Concession Guidelines and an Application Form.
The deadline to apply to participate as a concessionaire is May 30, 2008.
