Annual Gala
Members assist in planning this festive annual event held in January. Past themes have included “A Night at the Tropicana” and “Bootlegger’s Ball”, and the event includes a silent auction and entertainment. The committee meets in the months leading up to the Gala.
Annual Golf Classic
Members assist in planning the Golf Tournament, held in June each year.
Through new member visits, ribbon cuttings and serving as greeters, ambassador support member attraction and retention at Chamber events. Membership on this committee is limited, and interested Chamber members should call for an application.
Bloomington Community Outreach
This committee works to increase the engagement of the Bloomington Chamber within the community through participation in community events and by developing partnerships with community & civic organizations.
Bloomington Economic Development/ Public Policy
This committee works with the City of Bloomington to attract new businesses to Bloomington, while retaining and assisting the growth of existing businesses in the community; communicates and promotes policy positions that support the economic development and interests of the general business community.
Best in Business Awards
This committee assists in the planning of the Best in Business Awards event. The annual event recognizes member businesses that have excelled, grown and supported the community in unique and meaningful ways.
Celebrate Northeast Parade
Since 2003, the Northeast Chamber has been the organizing force behind this long-standing tradition celebrating its 81st Anniversary. The 50+-member volunteer planning committee helps guide and shape this largest one-day attended event in Northeast. Monthly meetings are held from January to June. The vision of the committee is to listen to all input and make joint recommendations and decisions regarding the parade.
The DRIVE Committee focuses on “developing tomorrow’s leaders today!” This committee organizes events specifically relevant to young professionals.
Minneapolis Regional Ambassadors
Through new member visits, ribbon cuttings and serving as greeters, ambassadors support member attraction and retention at Chamber events. Membership on this committee is limited, and interested Chamber members should call for an application.
Minneapolis Regional Public Policy Forum
The MRCC Public Policy Forum is open to all members interested in public policy efforts. This group meets the fourth Wednesday of every month, September through May, in the MRCC Office or via a webinar broadcast.
For 35 years, the Minnesota Keystone Program has celebrated local companies that give back to the community. This committee assists in the marketing andpromotion of Minnesota Keystone throughout the year, and helps plan the annual Minnesota Keystone Celebration Luncheon in December.
The Small Business Committee works to engage and assist the Chamber’s small business members. Additionally, this group advises on Small Business University programming and the Small Business of the Year award.
