Martinez has been promoted to Senior Regional Vice President of the Twin Cities Region. Also, Comcast staff participating in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Beyond School Walls program showed their respective Littles the fun of giving back to the community by preparing snack packs for Comcast community partner Neighborhood House. Comcast Bigs and Littles filled bags with juice boxes, assorted snacks, coloring books and games. The snack packs will be used by Neighborhood House for children who spend time there after school.


Kramarczuk’s Sausage Company, Inc.

Kramarczuk’s won a James Beard American Classic Award for 2013.  The award is given to regional establishments that are “treasured for their quality, food, local character and lasting appeal” according to the Beard Foundation.  Four other restaurants nationwide received this honor.  


Northeast Bank

Zach J. Neuman has been promoted to Assistant Vice President - Credit Department. Neuman was honored with Northeast Bank’s “Rookie of the Year” award in December 2011, and is located at the Minneapolis office. And Belva Rasmussen, Chair of Northeast Bank, was inducted into the inaugural Minnesota Women Business Owners Hall of Fame. The Minnesota Women Business Owners Hall of Fame honors and recognizes Minnesota’s most successful female entrepreneurs and their advocates who have made significant and enduring contributions to impact women’s entrepreneurial development in Minnesota. 


Thrivent Financial for Lutherans

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans announced its 2012 financial results led to a fourth consecutive year of growth for the not-for-profit membership organization. The firm continued to increase its financial strength and along with its members provided more than 8.7 million volunteer hours and $165.3 million in direct support to charitable organizations, schools, congregations and communities across the country.  


CenterPoint Energy

 CenterPoint Energy was recently recognized by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE), a nonprofit research group based in Washington, D.C., for three of its energy efficiency programs as part of a national review designed to identify America’s leading energy efficiency programs.  The programs designated as “exemplary” were the company’s Custom Rebate Program, its Foodservice Rebate Program, and the Home Energy Squad. Minnesota currently ranks 9th on ACEEE’s state energy efficiency scorecard, which considers all aspects of state energy efficiency policies.
